Caudill discusses his work in public art in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky in 1950 and moved to Louisville when he was five. He studied at the University of Kentucky and the Louisville School of Art. Caudill has created several public art pieces in Louisville, including "Monument to the Joy of Living" at the Crescent Hill branch library, "Effervescence" at the School of Music at the University of Louisville, and "Bindu Silhouette" at the Louisville Zoo. He also proposed a large-scale labyrinth sculpture in the shape of a fingerprint. Caudill believes that public art is important for stimulating curiosity and inspiration.
